Engage the heart and foster faith in Jesus Christ

A Christian education

Elementary students receive Bible teaching every day in their classroom along with time to pray and worship Jesus. Students starting in prekindergarten also hide God's Word in their heart by memorizing Bible verses. By these practices we ensure three things: 1) Knowledge of Jesus as Savior is faithfully provided. 2) Prayer and worship is practiced. 3) God's Word is memorized. Monthly, we enjoy large group worship and Bible teaching in chapel. Chapel features our yearly theme, which this year is from I John: God is Greater. School-wide prayer and service projects are featured quarterly through GCS Segue so students may walk out the love of Jesus through service and prayer. Mature Christian teachers helping students navigate the day is our final priceless blessing because they model, exhort and encourage continually as God directs them.

academics

Gilbert Christian Schools provides elementary students with a strong academic foundation in math, reading and writing.  We understand it is on that foundation that more advanced work will be completed at the middle school level.  Students are provided with a comprehensive education that includes math, reading, writing, science, social studies, PE, Spanish, music and art.  With our small class sizes, teachers are able to give students the type of individual attention that allows a student to reach their full academic potential.

arts

At GCS elementary, we prayerfully educate and develop the whole person through a broad range of opportunities available to each student. Beyond the classroom, students can choose to pursue extracurricular activities in student leadership, musical arts, visual arts, performing arts and athletics.

The focal point of the GCS Fine Arts Department is Christ-centered promotion of music, studio and performing arts, contributing to the overall development of our students. That includes opportunities in choir, drama, general music, strings and visual arts

Guiding young men and women as they learn to follow Christ

a christian education

Middle School 6th graders enjoy an overarching but in-depth survey of the Bible. This course is taught in homeroom each day so there is also time for prayer concerns and in-depth spiritual discussions that reach the 6th grade student. At the 7th and 8th grade, our Bible teacher cares for the spiritual development of our students in Bible class each day. His passion is in connecting students to the supremacy of Christ and His Gospel while helping teens to discover truth for themselves by inductively digging into God's Word. Scripture is still memorized in middle school with opportunities to demonstrate verses each week. Students also experience our monthly Middle School Chapel. Middle school students also enjoy optional teacher-led lunch time Bible studies and student-led prayer groups before school. Service projects and prayer events are featured quarterly through GCS Segue, so students may walk out the love of Jesus.

arts and athletics

At GCMS, we pride ourselves on the development of the whole person through a broad range of opportunities available to each of our students. Beyond the classroom, students can choose to pursue extracurricular activities within the realms of student leadership, fine arts and athletics, among others.

The athletic program is an integral part of the school’s educational process. We believe that not only do athletics provide an opportunity to develop a student’s God-given athletic abilities, but they also help students learn the important skills such as teamwork, dedication, and perseverance. In many cases, students compete in multiple sports including basketball, football, baseball, soccer, volleyball, track, cross country, football, and golf.
